Development
In The Product Centric Agile Enterprise Stephen Armstrong will talk about elements from six well-known and understood bodies of knowledge: integrated product development, project management, process management, systems engineering, product data management, and organizational change management. These elements are framed within an overall enterprise-wide architecture. The techniques discussed work for both huge multinational organizations and smaller enterprises. The emphasis throughout is on practical tools for engineers, managers, and consultants responsible for project and product development. Presenters Stephen C. Armstrong, CEO of AMGI Management Inc Stephen C. Armstrong is the CEO of AMGI Management Inc, a Toronto based international Stephen grew up in Northern Ireland serving a 5-year aeronautical engineering apprenticeship with Short Brothers
and Harland in Belfast. In 2005 he achieved the Fellowship of the City & Guilds Institute (FCGI) London, UK. In
2002 he was elected a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) UK. He earned the UK
Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualification through IMechE in 1984. He became a licensed Professional Engineer
(PEng) in Canada in 1983. He holds a BSc Honours degree (CNAA) in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of Westminster - London Polytechnic (1980) London, UK. In 1977 he earned the City & Guilds London
Institute Full Technological Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and production management attending Lisburn
College in N Ireland. After many successful years working in industry as a Design and Manufacturing Engineer in Working through the ranks he became principal in charge of advanced manufacturing systems. He earned the rigorous certified management consultant (CMC) qualification from the Institute of Certified management Consultants of Canada while with KPMG in 1992. During his time at KPMG Stephen represented Canada to develop new leading edge manufacturing systems services worldwide. In 1990 he received the Young outstanding Engineer award from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, USA for work in the area of computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) and advanced composite materials in aerospace manufacturing.
