Modern QFD and the Voice of the Customer (Product Management Thought Leaders Series) Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a quality system for assuring customer satisfaction through the efficient delivery of value. You’ve probably heard the phrase “voice of the customer”, but did you know it comes from QFD? What tools and techniques exist for listening to the Voice of the Customer? And how can we accurately prioritize customer needs? Or customer projects? You may know about traditional Quality Function Deployment, and even the “House of Quality” matrix, but did you know that in Modern QFD there are often NO matrices used? And that for many projects this is the preferred approach to QFD? Or that there is a Blitz version of QFD for rapid product development? And if speed is the need, QFD has a special deployment for significantly reducing the elapsed time of development projects.
